You made your bed.....now more sex The bed is where one of the places the magic happens. Apparently a neatly made bed can actually lead to a better sex life, according to a study conducted by a marketing research firm. Surveying 2,000 Americans, the study showed how people’s morning habits can show interesting personality traits. And how making the bed can affect relationships. Of those surveyed, 42% of those who are into bed-making believe their partner would likely do the same. One-third of those surveyed told researchers partners who didn’t make their bed after waking up in the morning would turn them off. The study noted on average those who made their bed had more sex per week (three times a week) than those who don’t (twice a week). In terms of sleep – you know, that other thing the bed was made for – people surveyed averaged about six and a half hours of sleep per night. Of those, people who made their bed noted they wake up an average of about 16 minutes before their counterparts who didn’t. I will confess I do not make my bed unless I have company coming over. I always thought it better to just let the bed breathe. Now that I know I might get more sleep and more sex I might just have to start making my bed.

Great post....I make my bed every morning...still suffer from insomnia and as for a better sex life ...well, at least the bed is made!!! ....little spoons..big spoons ..omg~ so funny, so real ~~ ...

I have to have my bed made, my hubby not so much and it drives me crazy..lol. I have always been attracted to a bed that's made because for me it's so inviting. I hope you are enjoying a peaceful Sunday hun..  Seduce the mind and see what a wonderful adventure the body will take you on..

The energy expended in making the bed should be saved for any sex that might happen. Just kidding, I dont make my bed as noone but me sees it made or unmade. I'd like to change the situation but til a good woman takes an interest.

I always make my bed 1st thing. I never heard of letting a bed "breathe". Is that anything like letting it "air out"?

I do the same thing with the bed covers as you do - fold the duvet near the bottom of the bed to let it breathe a little. There's no need for me to make the bed up as I'm the only one who uses it. "that other thing the bed was made for" - storing cats during the day?

Hmmm... Ok then... I don't have anything witty to add. If I make my bed is that like believing in the 'sex fairy'? I'll make a wish tomorrow morning... Early to bed and early to rise makes a man health, wealthy and wise. Sleep-wise, I usually get 7 to 8 hours and occasionally up once during a night.  Far as sex goes - hopefully it isn't limited to a bed. However, I propose a series of strictly scientific tests - when are you available? When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro. The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

I agree the bed needs to breath for a while before being made. When I worked I was up for a couple of hours before leaving anyway, plenty of breathing time for the bed. If I soaked the bed with sweat, it happens sometimes, which would be the top half, I would make the bed and turn down the covers halfway. Now I am retired, so there is plenty of time for the bed to breath before I make the bed which is daily, the bedroom looks better with a made bed. The first thing I do when climbing in the bed for the night is pull the covers up so they are loose and body hugging...not taut! It takes two people that want to have sex in a bed that is made or not. I guess the survey was for couples,,,lol Who keeps the covers on them when having sex anyway? My bed gets totaled when sex happens!!!!

Make mine every morning! Just seems neater. And maybe a military caryover! I like to have sex in a lot of places besides the bed!

I agree with that poll. When entering a woman's bedroom, and I see an un-made messy bed, it does turn me off some, and makes me think about how messy is the rest of her life. When going into a woman's bathroom, and finding disaster, it makes me want to put my clothes back on and run..... away as fast as I can. If I can keep my bed made, and my bathroom neat & tidy, then any woman should be able to also. Now I will make e ceptions for a woman with kids or a hubby at home, as she shouldnt have to clean up after them, but if single, I do have standards, and a sink full of dishes also mkake me cringe !

I have enough messiness in the rest of my life without coming home to a messy bedroom.. I always put my clothing away and I always make the bed. It's a little space of peace- of course getting a little piece to mess th e bed up would be a bonus(Virtual Symposium Group) use Virtual Symposium Group

Oh dearie me McSuit, ye need tae make yer bed, that's just no' right!! Ye'll be getting skelped! I'm a terrible sleeper mind, so making the bed doesnae help me, nor does it seem to improve my success rate elsewhere......

i did a study of my own. Found out that it didn't matter whether I made the bed or not I still wasn't getting any sex.....

I only actually make my bed when I first put fresh sheets on it. After that I just put the sheet and comforter back over the area I slept. I only seen the sleep like a normal person when there's somebody in the bed with me, other than that I'll be all over the place.
